Why the gasoline pump doesn't discharge water

Why the gasoline engine water pump engine runs normally and does not water out

The reason why the gasoline engine water pump does not discharge water is that the water pump is not filled with enough water before starting, so the user needs to fill it with water.

1. Before starting the water pump, it is not filled with enough water. Sometimes it seems that the filled water has overflowed from the vent hole, but the air is completely discharged without rotating the pump shaft, resulting in a little air remaining in the water inlet pipe or pump body.

2. The horizontal section of the water inlet pipe in contact with the water pump shall apply a descending slope of more than 0.5% against the water flow direction, and the end connecting the water pump inlet is the highest, not completely horizontal. If it tilts upward, air will remain in the water inlet pipe, reducing the vacuum in the water pipe and water pump and affecting the water absorption.

3. The packing of the water pump has been worn or pressed too loose due to long-term use, resulting in a large amount of water ejected from the gap between the packing and the pump shaft sleeve. As a result, the external air enters the inside of the water pump from these gaps, affecting the water lifting.

4. Due to long-term potential underwater, the inlet pipe has holes due to pipe wall corrosion, and the water surface continues to decline after the pump works. When these holes emerge from the water surface, air enters the civil inlet pipe from the holes.
